Before the doors even open at PCA 2026, CAO Cigars is already making noise with the announcement of the CAO America 250th Anniversary, a limited-edition release crafted to celebrate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
This pre-release brings back the original CAO America concept from 2007 but updates it with a fresh box-pressed format. The cigar keeps its iconic barber pole look, combining U.S. Broadleaf and Connecticut Shade wrappers for that bold, unmistakable presentation.
What really sets this one apart is the blend—it’s being described as a true American puro, featuring all U.S.-grown tobaccos from wrapper to filler. That includes a U.S. Havana Connecticut binder and a filler mix of Broadleaf and Pennsylvania tobaccos, making this a unique offering in today’s premium cigar market.
The CAO America 250th Anniversary will be released in one size—a 5 1/2 x 55 box-pressed Robusto—packaged in 10-count boxes. Production is taking place at STG Estelí, with shipping expected to begin May 4, 2026.
With a $9.99 MSRP, this pre-release is shaping up to be an affordable, conversation-starting cigar that’s sure to get attention once PCA kicks off.
