Drew Estate has officially announced that Jonathan Drew Sann is stepping into a brand-new role as Chief Innovation Officer, signaling what could be one of the biggest strategic shifts in the company’s modern history.


While continuing to serve as President of Drew Estate, Sann will now lead the newly created Innovation Department — a move focused on future growth, brand expansion, and cultural engagement. As part of the transition, Sann will no longer oversee the company’s marketing division. That responsibility now belongs to Andrew Duncan, who joins Drew Estate as Senior Vice President of Marketing.

The hiring of Andrew Duncan also turns heads. Coming from Sazerac — the powerhouse behind Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, and other legendary whiskey brands — Duncan brings serious brand-building experience outside the cigar world. His background in premium spirits and consumer marketing could bring an entirely new energy to Drew Estate’s future campaigns.
