Now this one right here…this was a sweet tooth sleeper. The kind of cigar you light up and immediately know somebody took their time with it. Eight years of age on this blend and it shows from the first pull all the way down to the nub.
The pre-light gave me warm molasses, bakery sweetness, and that old-school maduro aroma that reminds you of walking into a cigar factory years ago before everything became flashy packaging and hype.
First Third
Right out the gate I was hit with rich dark chocolate, roasted pecan, and honey sweetness layered underneath. The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper brings that deep earthy richness while the Honduran maduro binder keeps it smooth and creamy. Draw was effortless with thick smoke output that coated the palate beautifully.
Second Third
This is where the cigar really started becoming what its name promised. The toasted churro note showed up heavy with cinnamon sugar vibes, backed by espresso bitterness and cedar. The Ometepe and Estelí filler started flexing here, bringing balance and a little warmth without ever overpowering the sweetness.
Final Third
The final third was absolutely dessert in cigar form. Thick dark chocolate, caramelized sugar, salted toffee, and a lingering bakery spice sat on my palate long after every puff. The age on this blend rounded everything out perfectly — no harshness, no bitterness, just smooth layered flavor all the way to the finish.
What impressed me most was how balanced the cigar stayed. Even as the strength crept into that medium-plus range, it never lost the sweetness or creaminess that made the blend special. Pair this with a Mexican hot chocolate, espresso, or a barrel-rested bourbon and you’re living right.
Final Verdict
This is one of those cigars that feels nostalgic and luxurious at the same time. A hidden gem with old-school character and dessert-shop flavor. Privada knocked this one out of the park.
